As with all artwork *presentation* is a key issue.  I am known for my wonderful series of traditional and contemporary style french matting, sometimes a piece of artwork requires a simple look.  A favorite style is a handmade gold leaf bevel and a silk mat - fits into any style of home.

FRENCH MATS custom designed for these charming Hopwood & Baxter Aquatints / Dr Thornton circa 1807.  Using a series of new Antiqarian Museum boards, I used my trademark deep rich colored washes and lines to enhance the beauty of the artwork.  My handmade gold paper around the washline accents the 22 karat gold leaf frame.
